The Lord is king, be the people never so impatient: he sitteth between the cherubims, be the earth never so unquiet. O thou sword of the Lord,… put up thyself into thy scabbard, rest, and be still. Some put their trust in chariots, and some in horses : but we will remember the Name of the Lord our God. He maketh peace in thy borders: He maketh wars to cease in all the world: O that men would therefore praise the Lord for his goodness: and declare the wonders that he doeth for the children of men! That they would exalt him also in the congregation of the people: and praise him in the seat of the elders!
