About Marty Crown
The holistic ideologies of neo-shamans embrace people equally and stress the importance of preserving our planet. Marty Crown, a multitalented Kazakh “artist’s artist,” embraces these ideologies and encourages her listeners to find solace and purpose in art.

Aliya Kan (Marty Crown) was born on May 16th, 1993 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Her love of music began with the orchestral score of Luc Besson’s 1997 film The Fifth Element. Her parents, noticing her new found love, quickly enrolled her in vocal courses. Her creative upbringing continued with training at the theater school Obraz and with noted singer Rimma Walter.

After some years of musical training, Marty started as a frequent electro-pop performer and then began collaborating with Kazakh rapper Jah Khalib. They released two widely broadcasted singles, “I Walk Along the Streets” and “Be With Me”. She then performed as part of the band Universum and was featured in magazines including ELLE, Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Harper’s Bazaar, BLVD, Buro 27/7, L’Officiel and was crowned the winner of Samsung’s EDGE Fest 2016. Relocating to L.A. in the same year, she connected with Silver Gun Records and discussed plans to record her original music. Silver Gun Records, impressed with her track record, innovation, and dedication, signed her onto their roster.

Marty Crown released her debut singles, “Nomad Lullaby” and “We Are Here,” along with her EP, Hologram, under the label in spring of 2017. Performing her original music in iconic venues such as The Mint, Molly’s Malone, and Pig ’N Whistle, she is known for her captivating stage presence. Marty Crown is now moving forward with her new single “Queen of Sadness”, a track that seamlessly transitions from a still simplicity to a layered electronic groove, accentuated by her dynamic vocals.
